| There are some really good aquatics in the UK but they are few and far between really. My local aquatics don't really stock unusual danios that often as there doesn't seem to be the market for them. |

Well I've found my shops to visit and shops to leave well alone in Dorset since moving here 8 months ago, my most local shop is OS Aquatics in Wool, Dorset & I can walk to it, the owners a very helpful biologist & runs his own breeding experiments with anything he can get hold of. He also orders me anything I'd like so really its just a question of my poor patience that takes me to the other shops for a look around.
My new setup is 10 M. Erythromicron, 9 Danio Margaritatus and on the way is Yunnanilus Brevis (not sure how many yet) for my Lake Inle setup.
I'm considering Danio Choprai too although they're from a different river with slightly different water perameters.
I'm pretty stuck with my Danios A.T.M so everything else is set to go back to market so I can set up my other tanks for a bit of breeding.
Was Erythromicron ever reclassified into the genus Danio? _________________ Nancy Astor: “Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.”

I couldn't help myself when I saw "Micro Danio" swimming in an LFS yesterday so I broke the rules & bought 6 fish I didn't know anything about.
Anyway I've been searching for hours & I've found them, Danio Nigrofasciatus (Dwarf Spotted Danio), so I've ruined my Lake Inle Biotope but they're great, not the best looking fish but they're tight schooling and darting about by the filter exhaust. I'm gonna pop back today & buy some more before I give them the species info. _________________ Nancy Astor: “Sir, if you were my husband, I would give you poison.”

In the case of Myanmar, it had been off-limits to the western world for quite sometime. While there are "new" Danios like Danio sp. TW01, Danio sp. TW02 (now Danio tinwini), Danio sp. TW03 (now Danio aesculapii), and of course the CPD, many of the fish that are new to the hobby were actually discovered many years ago and have simply been unavailable.
