Females dye suddenly

Postby SiberianSiren » Thu Feb 25, 2016 2:38 pm

I had 6 CPDs originally. They were immature, but it appeared there was only one female. One day I noticed she stayed away from the others, but did not appear to be ill. The next morning she was dead. I exchanged two of the smaller males for two new females. All was well for several weeks until one of the males began show extreme aggressive behavior, particularly to the smallest female. The following morning I found her dead. I'm not sure what is going on. This male has also developed a yellowish color stripe from his dorsal fin to his nose which seems more prominent than the other two males. Any thoughts on why he might attack a female? Do they become egg bound?
